there are hints of
what the hell have i done?
mixed with some
what the fuck am i gonna do?

in the daylight they appear more homicidal
and more suicidal at night

but no matter what time of day
if you peer deeply
you'll see
that ready-to-die look is always there

they're heavy
they're sad
they're tired
they're crazy

they're letting go
and
they're holding on

and they're brown
