Rosary

dying of cancer
saying her prayers
they came to bathe her

she asked if would hold her Rosary beads

"of course"
i said

cupped my hands together and held them out

she dropped the beads
and i exclaimed
"IT BURNS!"

it was the last time i made her laugh
