Nurtured Anxiety

the greatest obstacles 

between a person 

and their peace 

is often 

their parents

mothers

who suffocate their sons and daughters 

with expectations put upon them

by mothers of their own

fathers

who ration out love 

as if it were a depleted resource

the tyranny of family bonds

terrorizing a person 

well into adulthood 

the only loving parents 

are the one's who decided against 

becoming one

 love is the dishes

sometimes it will make me mad

but i always will

sometimes it was because she remembered something from her past that hurt

sometimes it was because i was punishing her
for something she remembered

tears fell from her eyes like rebel angels
and i welcomed her with a blanket

crucified monster

the beast's never-ending feed

prayers of its prey

maniacs of peace

burn the world down with their love

cruel empathy

i see castles

a benevolent kingdom of death

devoured by the soil

the maggots and the worms

cry for no banker

sympathy dies on Wall Street 

profits declare wars

the devil's ballet

dance of blasphemous angels

arabesque monsters 

the skies are dying 

mountains shatter into dust

time cannot be stopped

the nightmares of innocence 

wrongful convictions

dancing with witchcraft 

bristles and feet sweep the floor 

cauldrons of music 

the stars are all strays

glowing eyes of sly hunters
